On Wednesday, we took the 2 hour trek down to the grand opening of Brian Kachinsky's newly relocated BMX park, The Bakery. Brian has been pretty quiet about the relocation these past few weeks so we had no idea what to expect. The event consisted of an open bar, swag bags, music, a short video, and a raffle. The raffle was set up for The Athlete Recovery Fund and it benefited Brett Banasiewicz as he is recovering from a bad crash last year. The grand prize was a DK BMX bike. The winner of the bike was Mike Stotsky, who is the owner of Ketch Bikes. Considering he owns his own bike company, he doesn’t really need a bike. He decided to auction it off and they were able to raise $400 more for Brett.
We were out at The Midwest Open of Snowskating this past weekend doing some filming. Here are some highlights from the pro class at the event. Stay tuned for Phil's video coming on Tuesday!
